making a gift to Girl Scouting, you help make a positive difference
in the lives of nearly 4,000 girls. An outright gift of cash,
stock or personal property is put to good use immediately.
Your gift can be donated for general purposes or restricted
to your area of special interest.
Planned giving opportunities include bequests, gifts of life
insurance, retirement or pension plan assets, and charitable

You may choose to make a gift in memory of a friend or relative
who died or in honor of a person you love or admire. You may
make a gift to celebrate an important event such as an anniversary

The Girl Scout Council of Cannon Valley also offers exciting
opportunities to invest in girls' futures. A planned gift
to benefit Girl Scouting can provide life-long income and
estate tax benefits and capital gains savings. As a bonus,
you will have the satisfaction of knowing you helped secure
the future of Girl Scouting for years to come.
Girl Scouting isn't free! The cost to the Girl Scout Council
of Cannon Valley to deliver services to one girl for one year
is approximately $185. Quality program requires quality support
from the council.
$10 pays for one training video from Girl
Scouts of the USA
$20 provides a Senior Gold Award pin for
one girl
$35 provides one new troop kit (including
books, troop forms, etc) or a camp scholarship for one underprivileged
girl to attend day camp
$50 pays postage for one weekly mailing (informational
packet) to the chief administrative volunteers in our communities
$100 pays for training kits for older Girl
Scouts who take council leadership courses
$200 pays for a camp scholarship for one
girl to attend resident camp or one CPR mannequin for leader
first aid training
$300 assists one older Girl Scout to attend
a Wider Opportunity
$700 pays approximately one month on council-wide
800 number telephone service
$1000 pays to print one annual report
