Membership
Girl Scouting is open to girls between the ages of 5 and
17, and to men and women over the age of 18, who make the
Girl Scout Promise, accept
the Girl Scout Law, and pay
annual membership dues. The Girl Scout organization has a
long history of adapting activities for girls who are physically
or mentally disabled and those who are chronically ill.
Girl Scout Program Levels
- Daisy Girl Scouts - Ages
5-6 or Kindergarten

Daisy Girl Scouting is an introductory year to the Girl
Scout program,
including simple and fun activities.
- Brownie Girl Scouts- Ages
6-8 or Grades 1-3. Brownie Girl Scouts are encouraged
to explore new interests and have opportunities to navigate
new paths through a variety of activities.
- Junior Girl Scouts - Ages
8-11 or Grades 3-6. Junior Girl Scouts are ready
to move on to more challenging badge work, step into leadership
roles and serve as role models for younger girls.

- Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts
- Ages 11-17 or Grades 6-12. Cadette and Senior Girl
Scouts take on a variety of leadership roles and large,
comprehensive projects, including the Silver Award and the
Gold Award, the highest recognition in Girl Scouting.
