OUTSTANDING LEADER & OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER

This nomination should be emailed no later than February 15th to steph@gsccv.org.
When completing your nomination, please refer closely to the recognitions descriptions below, and include as much information as possible regarding how your candidate’s service meets the Girl Scouts of the USA criteria.
The Outstanding Leader Award The Outstanding Leader Pin is awarded to a troop leader or assistant leader whose performance in working with girls is so outstanding that it merits recognition by the Service Unit. The candidate must have completed new volunteer orientation and level training, and s/he should have demonstrated competence in girl-adult partnership, communication, membership development, pluralism (diversity) and the delivery of the Girl Scout program. The Outstanding Volunteer Award The Outstanding Volunteer Pin is awarded to a volunteer in a position other than (or in addition to) leader whose service benefits the entire Service Unit in a way that is beyond expectations for the position held. Examples include but are not limited to: a recruiter who has retained or increased adult or girl membership, an event chair who has managed several successful events (especially with increased girl planning and involvement), or a person who has significantly enhanced Girl Scouting’s image in the community.
